Her expertise in antidumping, countervailing duties, GATT regulations, bilateral and multilateral negotiations as well as foreign investment, was acquired during her tenure with the Mexican Ministries of Foreign Trade and Foreign Affairs.
Stinson has lectured to Canadian, US, New Zealand, Lebanese, Peruvian and Venezuelan private groups regarding the Mexican experience with competition and antidumping measures and has assisted the Colombian Ministry of Economy with the structuring of that country’s antidumping statutes.
Ms. Stinson won a nation-wide Honors Mention Award, “Premio Nacional BANAMEX 1979” with her thesis Determinantes del Ingreso Laboral: Enfoque de Rendimientos a la Escolaridad, and was a member of the committee responsible for assessing and negotiating Mexico’s admission to the GATT.
